Meet Our Summer Interns

Despite it being summer, it seems like things are busier than ever around ABC. To help with the work load, we’re brought on three excellent summer interns, and we thought we’d take a moment to introduce them. We’re very excited to welcome Pam, Salmaan and Kelly to the ABC team for the summer.

Pamela Lee

Pam is the latest in a line of students from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design to join us at ABC. Pam graduated from the GSD this spring with her Master’s in Urban Planning. She won the faculty prize for her master’s thesis, entitled, The Future of Housing Finance – A Public Proposition. She’s putting that experience, together with a previous internship at the Somerville Community Corporation, to work on several of our grant-funded research projects. Pam earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Salmaan Khan

Salmaan is a year behind Pam at the GSD and also working on a Master’s Urban Planning. He’s also a research assistant at the GSD’s Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure. His work experience has taken him around the world - from Mumbai, where he worked on survey project for the Urban Design Research Institute, to the High Line in New York City. Salmaan is working with our Challenge for Sustainability to update the content and design of our online sustainability toolkit and manage the Challenge's online networks.

Kelly Kneeland

Kelly comes to us from Colby College in Maine, where she’s a rising senior majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Science, Technology and Society. She already has some very impressive intern experience under her belt, including stints at the Urban Ecology Institute and Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. She is helping our Transportation Management Association Program Manager, Aileen O’Rourke, with several projects, including analyzing the results of our TMA member survey, launching our Health and Wellness Campaign, and supporting the many public events we put on for TMA members.
