I-90 Allston Multimodal Project Funding Award is Massive Win for Massachusetts

We are thrilled to share that on Monday March 11th the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Boston received the news that they have won $335.4 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Grant Program to advance the I-90 Allston Multimodal Project! You can see the press release, as well as recent coverage in the Boston Business Journal, CommonWealth Beacon, and State House News Service

We are grateful for the vision, leadership, and persistence of the Massachusetts Congressional delegation, Healey-Driscoll Administration, and Wu Administration in securing these vital funds. This monumental investment is the result of incredible coordination and advocacy from all three levels of government, Greater Boston and Worcester business leaders, and Allston community stakeholders. The I-90 Allston Multimodal Project will reconnect the Allston community and deliver transformational transportation options, unprecedented development opportunities, and critical environmental benefits for Boston, Worcester, and beyond.

To learn more about this once-in-a-generation project, be sure to check out our short video explaining the project scope, benefits, and urgency. In terms of next steps, our team looks forward to continuing to work with state and local partners as the project approaches the final stages of the environmental review process.
