David Straus is the Executive Director of A Better City Transportation Management Association (ABC TMA), a non-profit organization working to address the issues of congestion and air-quality in downtown Boston and the Back Bay.  Mr. Straus has been involved in Transportation Demand Management since 1998, after graduating from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.  He is actively involved in the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) where he serves as President of the Patriot Chapter and as an At-Large Director on the National Board.   He serves on the Executive Committee of TransitWorks, a ridership and stakeholder based customer feedback organization working to improve the quality and comfort of the MBTA system and increase ridership.  He also serves on the Board of WalkBoston and is the Assistant Managing Director of MassCommute, the TMA Council of Massachusetts.
