ABC Challenge for Sustainability
A Better City's Challenge for Sustainability is designed to leverage the private sector's ability to influence change and make Greater Boston a leader in sustainable building and transportation practices. It will help increase energy efficiency, reduce resource consumption, decrease solid waste, minimize impact on natural resources, and reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions from businesses, buildings, and institutions. As part of the Challenge, participants will work towards the following goals and objectives while receiving assistance and a range of value-added services from A Better City.
Goals
- Educate and inform Boston's business and institution decision-makers about climate change and sustainability.
- Launch Boston into the national spotlight as a leader in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adopt sustainable practices.
- Support the Climate Action Plans of the City of Boston and City of Cambridge.
- Enhance visibility and recognition of members as leaders in addressing global climate change and sustainability.
